Governance Information and Monitoring Meetings were held within the scope of the Smart City Strategy and Roadmap Guidance Project, which was carried out by the General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems to realize the actions included in the 2020-2023 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan, to guide smart city solutions and preparing a local smart city strategy and roadmap, and to develop the capacity of smart cities in our country.

The first event held on Thursday, December 3, 2020, started with the opening speeches and briefings of İsmail TÜZGEN, General Manager of Geographic Information Systems. Afterwards, Dursun Yıldırım BAYAR, the Head of the Smart Cities and Geographical Technologies Department, gave information to the participants about the National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan and the studies carried out in this context. The event continued with the presentations of Eda SOYLU SENGÖR, Senior Survey Engineer, Staff of the General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems, on the Smart Cities Strategy Monitoring and Evaluation System and completed with presentations and briefings of Dursun Yıldırım BAYAR’s Smart Cities Strategy Action Cards.

The second event, which was held on Friday, December 4, 2020, was started with presentations of Fatih GÜNDOĞAN, General Manager of Asis City Technologies at the contractor company of the project. Afterwards, Prof. Dr Murat ŞEKER informed the participants about the Smart City Capacity Building and Guidance Project processes. The event, which continued with Haldun ERSEN’s presentations on Smart Governance, was completed with the presentation and briefings on Smart Cities Strategy Action Cards by Dursun Yıldırım BAYAR, Head of Smart Cities and Geographical Technologies Department.
