MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND URBANIZATION GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems aims to produce accurate, standard and high quality geographical information and to share this information widely in order to make public services more accurate, faster and better with planning, investment and auditing activities. In accordance with this purpose, General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems is responsible for constructing, using and developing National Geographic Information System, setting urban information systems’ standards related with planning, infrastructure and superstructure activities of local governments.

General Directorate of Geographic Information Systems is the policy holder of the 2019-2022 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan Project.
